The ownership team is now seeking a dynamic Vice President of Human Resources to build and scale a modern HR function that supports the company's strong culture and future growth initiatives.


POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President of Human Resources will serve as the company's senior HR executive, responsible for designing, implementing, and leading a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with business objectives. As a key member of the Leadership Steering Committee, this role provides strategic HR counsel to senior leadership while overseeing all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee development, compliance, and HR technology. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a balance of strategic vision and operational execution across a dynamic, multi-location, growth-focused organization. The Vice President will lead a small, dedicated HR team.


YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership

•  Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team on all HR matters.
•  Develop and execute a people strategy aligned with business goals and company values.
•  Champion a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Team Leadership & Development

•  Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing HR team by clearly defining roles, responsibilities, and KPIs.
•  Foster cross-functional collaboration and continuous learning within the HR function.
•  Design and implement an HR model that maximizes team effectiveness and organizational impact.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

•  Oversee full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, selection, onboarding, and retention strategies.
•  Develop scalable talent acquisition plans to attract top talent across multiple geographies.
•  Lead succession planning initiatives and high-potential talent development programs.

Compensation & Benefits

•  Design and manage competitive, compliant compensation and benefits programs.
•  Conduct market benchmarking and oversee annual program reviews and renewals.
•  Ensure consistent job descriptions, salary structures, and internal equity across the organization..

Employee Relations & Engagement

•  Build proactive employee relations practices to promote trust and open communication.
•  Advise managers on performance, behavioral issues, and conflict resolution.
•  Lead employee engagement initiatives to improve satisfaction, retention, and workplace culture.

Performance Management & Learning

•  Implement goal-aligned performance review processes and employee development plans.
•  Deliver training for managers on coaching, feedback, and performance calibration.
•  Identify organizational learning needs and drive leadership development initiatives.

HR Operations, Technology & Analytics

•  Evaluate and deploy HR technologies to streamline operations and enhance employee experience.
•  Oversee payroll, time tracking, and HR data management to ensure compliance and efficiency.
•  Develop HR dashboards to monitor turnover, engagement, and workforce trends.

Compliance & Risk Management

•  Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
•  Maintain employee handbooks, HR policies, and all required regulatory postings.
•  Oversee workplace health, safety programs, and risk mitigation protocols.


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS YOU WILL NEED:

•  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field (Master’s preferred).
•  PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred.
•  10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior HR executive role.
•  Proven success building or scaling HR functions within growth-oriented organizations.
•  Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law (experience with Canadian and/or Mexican labor law a plus).
•  Hands-on, strategic leader with the ability to influence across all organizational levels, from frontline teams to the boardroom.
•  Expertise in organizational planning, compensation design, employee relations, and workforce analytics.
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems (HRIS, ATS, payroll platforms).
•  Industry experience in sales, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors is highly valued.
